So I discovered this amazing book recently called the Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. It's about two real sorcerers who becoming unwitting pawns in a dangerous game. The playing board? An amazing wondrous circus that only is open at night. Personally I can't wait until it's made into a movie. The imagery in this book is awe inspiring. A black and white circus, contortionists, acrobats, fire eaters, a wishing tree, a maze made out of clouds, a hall of mirrors, ice gardens, a ship made of books. It's a journey into one's dreams. Another image is the reveur. These are diehard night circus fans who dress up in black and white and a touch of red and travel after the circus as much as they can. It's a nice thought. Sort of like being a groupie to a rock band but less desperate. The idea of chasing after one's dreams while traveling the globe. Certainly something I can get behind. For now, maybe I can incorporate a little 'reveur' style into my daily look. And maybe you can too.
