Wow...

So who's heard of Kevin Michael Connelly? He's the host of Travel Channel's new show 'Armed and Ready'. And while hosts doing extreme sports is not anything new on this channel, the twist is Kevin was born without legs. And he's totally cool with it. He rides around on a skateboard instead of using an wheelchair or protestics, he competed in the X-games and he's photographed peoples reactions to him all over the world. So being on Travel Channel is a natural fit. Hopefully this last for more than one season. And doesn't disappear like Hidden City. Which to me was way more entertaining than watching Anthony Bourdain eat, drink and cuss. Not that I don't watch Anthony's new show the Layover, but usually when he's in a city I want to visit. But I digress. Right now I'm watching him learn how to joust and ride horses with a special saddle in Colorado. It's also interesting to see him try to overcome the obstacles for him to adapt these activities so that a 'disabled' person can do them. It's pretty inspiring. And Kevin is pretty cute. Swears like a sailor, but cute. So here's to you Kevin. May you and your cute Irish charm last for many many seasons on Travel Channel.
