Workout Wednesdays

So I won't say how much I weigh, but I do have to lose a good ten to fifteen inches from my waist to be considered healthy. And since I have some more time nowadays, I'm going to try to jumpstart my weight loss journey as much as I can before I return to work. So here's the plan. Now it takes 3500 calories burned to lose a pound of fat. And I plan on walking mostly to workout. I got a formula from bodyfatguide.com on how to calculate calories burned during walking. It's weight*2/3.5=calories burned. I need to burn about 137 calories per mile. And 3500 divided by 137 equals 26 miles a day. Okay. Right now that's manageable. Yes I know it's about the same as a marathon, but this is mostly just to jump start my weight lost journey. Every doctor in this country recommends losing 1-2 lbs per week. But since the contestants on Biggest Loser work out all day everyday for weeks at a time, I figure in the short term this is okay. I plan to use Leslie Sansone's Walk 4 Miles DVD. And once I get back in the habit again of working out, I'll do the Insanity series workout. And yes I've tried it before. And Insanity is a workout that lives up to it's name. So wish me luck world. I'm gonna need it.
