Tutorial Tuesdays

So once again, I'm not ready to post anything. Now the excuse is I started my new temp job today. And it is so cake! My mom works there too...she wasn't so lucky. But I thought I'd just share a few thoughts on how I began my journey to be a wannabe DIY Debutant (I don't like to use the term 'Diva'.)Anywho, I've always was a arts and crafty kid. And when I choose fashion design as a career/calling, it was no surprise. But as reality kicked in, I had to put off my dreams to get a 'real' job to pay the bills. For a while I was really depressed. Then I discovered 'Threadbanger'. Back then it was a website, forum and video tutorials for the DIY revolution. The hosts, Rob and Corrine, encouraged me every week to do it myself. They even read a comment I left on how they had inspired me. And they shared a hug and a few happy tears. I squealed like the fan girl that I am. And while I still struggle to find the time, I still try to do something creative as often as I can. Sadly, Rob and Corrine had their own major life changes so they stopped being the regular hosts for a while. Other's stepped in, but it just wasn't the same. I even thought Threadbanger was doomed for good when the website was taken down and the web search routed everything to the youtube page. But then, Corrine began to post videos for her own channel and for craft.com. And last week, Rob and Corrine started posting regular videos again! Yay! Best early birthday present ever! It just goes to show that you can't keep a good crafter down. So if you haven't yet, check them out using the link below. They are awesome in every sense of the word.
